How to Operate a Retract-A-Gate Retractable Gate
Retract-A-Gate Baby & Pet Safety Gate is designed to be very easy for adults to operate, but would be difficult for small children to open the baby gate. It is a truly one hand operated gate.
To close the Retract-A-Gate Safety Gate
First, unlock the childproof lock by pushing and turning it to the “Unlock” position. Pull the gate across to the universal brackets on the opposite site & hook the side bar on both the brackets. Push and turn the childproof lock back to the “Lock” position.
To open the Retract-A-Gate Safety Gate
First, unlock the childproof lock by pushing and turning it to the “Unlock” position. Disengage the gate from the universal brackets on the opposite site and let the gate rewind gently back into a roll. Push and turn the childproof lock back to the “Lock” position. This is recommended for safety, in case any young children decides to play with the gate while it is in it’s retracted position. To keep the gate out of the way more, simply swing it closer towards the wall.
